Constantine II, as Caesar, 316-337. Follis (Bronze, 19 mm, 2.45 g, 12 h), a contemporary imitation of an issue from Arelate, irregular mint, after 325. CONSTANTINVS IVN NB C Laureate, draped and cuirassed bust of Constantine II to left. Rev. VIRTVS CAEGG / TA[crescent]RL Campgate with open doors and four turrets; above, star. Cf. RIC 294 (for prototype). Minor roughness on the reverse, otherwise, good very fine.

The style is clearly unofficial, indicating a contemporary 'barbarous' imitation. The obverse is one for Constantine II, while the reverse legend is a mix of 'VIRTVS AVGG' and 'VIRTVS CAESS'.
